BTS‘s J-Hope may be a member of the hyung line, but he’s the “king” of the maknae line!
The hyung line consists of 92-liner Jin and 93-liner Suga along with 94-liners RM and J-Hope.
On the other hand, the maknae line includes 95-liners Jimin and V with the official maknae 97-liner Jungkook.
So, just how did J-Hope, one of the group’s hyungs, get the official title of “King” of the maknae line?
First of all, J-Hope gets along with everyone very well. As the “sunshine” of the group, he is a ball of energy that everyone can’t help but love. And, he’s incredibly loving, as is quite evident from how much he supports the members on Instagram.
While most BTS members no longer room together, Jimin and J-Hope reportedly remain roommates after all these years. J-Hope has even said that he feels that the two are very much alike.
I think out of all the members I am the most similar to Jimin. We are able to share a room because we match each other well. We both are the type to hold in our problems, so we like to share these thoughts with each other and find a solution.

J-Hope and V are quite close too. Recently, they even went on a family vacation together to Hawaii.
V: This was fun, remember? We were dead serious about it, too. Right? Riiight?
J-Hope: I never thought that getting slapped by the rain could hurt that much.
And, of course, we all know Jungkook is BTS’s maknae, but he’s especially J-Hope’s “baby.” They have a special and wholesome bond that can’t be ignored.
Another great trait of J-Hope’s?
He’s patient!
So, if there was any question about who the leader of the maknae line was… it’s J-Hope, and even he agrees.
In a recent Weverse post, he shared a behind-the-scenes video with Jungkook. J-Hope captioned the video, saying, “it’s fun .. dealing with the maknae..”
The maknae can be seen punching into J-Hope’s back in the video. Yet, they both appear grinning, so we know it’s all good fun!
Mmm… Look at him working hard. Mmm, ah, I see it hurts. Hehe. Ah, is cheeky. Ah… Sometimes I get him, sometimes I don’t.
