VIVIZ’s Experience With Music Show Waiting Rooms Has Drastically Changed From 2015 To 2022

VIVIZ recently sat down with Jonathan for an interview on “TheKstarNextDoor” series on Diggle‘s YouTube channel.

The members had fun talking about everything from the hidden meanings in their Queendom 2 performance medley of “Time for the Moon Night” and “Rough” to how they felt about each other when they first met.

And, of course, since VIVIZ have had the unique experience of becoming rookies again after all their years of experience as GFRIEND, Jonathan couldn’t help but ask the members what has changed for them. Specifically, he was curious about the differences in music show waiting rooms from their debut in 2015 to their debut in 2022.

SinB answers first by sharing that VIVIZ gets to be in waiting rooms, even as rookies.

Which she quickly clarifies that she doesn’t mean rookie groups get waiting rooms, it’s just because of their unique situation.

Waiting rooms, in general, are given based on the years of experience a group has. And the more years a group has, “the shorter the distance of the waiting room [to] the stage.”

So with VIVIZ’s debut, they’re now “closer to the stage” given their numerous years of experience.

Eunha jokes that VIVIZ “can even roll to the stage” because of how close their waiting rooms are.

And Umji shares that rookies generally wait in what idols call a “Herd waiting room.”

The waiting room keeps groups so close together that you “can hear what the other teams are saying.”

Which causes Jonathan to ask if that means they can hear the strategies of other groups.

But SinB is quick to jokingly clarify that “music shows aren’t survival programs.”

So Jonathan takes the opportunity to segway into what Queendom 2‘s waiting rooms are like.

And while VIVIZ explain that the waiting rooms for Mnet‘s survival show are also based on experience…

Because LOONA and WJSN (also known as Cosmic Girls) have such large groups, it only makes sense that they automatically get the larger waiting rooms.
