An alleged former classmate’s post about actor Nam Joo Hyuk is gaining attention.
The post titled “Amid All Of This I Am Writing About Nam Joo Hyuk” was uploaded onto an online community in February of last year. It seems the author was alluding to the pandemic when he mentions “All Of This.”
The classmate starts off by writing that he and the actor went to the same school. He then writes that the two sat next to each other for one year.
I was born in 1993, and Nam Joo Hyuk was born in the first quarter of 1994. I am not sure which year it was, but we sat next to each other for a year.

The classmate states that despite being an athlete, the actor was innocent, nice, and cheerful, although he didn’t get the best grades.
Usually, the school athletes sleep during class, but I remember Nam Joo Hyuk for being innocent, kind, and positive. He didn’t get good grades, though.

The netizen then shared a glimpse of what kind of student Nam Joo Hyuk was like, before addressing the actor personally.
When I asked my Middle School classmates if they knew Nam Joo Hyuk attended our school, no one knew. He was on the basketball team, so he didn’t attend class very much. Ten years later, after seeing his name on the news, I looked him up, and it was indeed him.

The writing comes after the actor was accused of bullying. Nam Joo Hyuk’s agency has since emphatically denied the allegations and announced they were exploring legal action against the publication for releasing the article without fact-checking, as well as the accuser for defamation.
