New K-Dramas Coming To Netflix In April 2023

April showers bring May flowers but also new Korean dramas to binge. In March, Netflix gave us The Glory Part 2, Divorce Attorney Shin, and the chilling docuseries In the Name of God: A Holy Betrayal.

The first new K-Drama to hit Netflix in April is Queenmaker, a political drama series with high stakes and an all-star cast. Queenmaker follows two very different, powerful players who share the same goal.

Hwang Do Hee (Kim Hee Ae) is a skilled businesswoman working for a corrupt corporation called Eunsung Group. After a tragic accident, she joins Seoul mayor candidate Oh Kyung Sook’s (Moon So Ri) campaign.

Did we mention that Kyung Sook is a human rights lawyer who happens to be Eunsung Group’s sworn enemy? Not that Do Hee cares. She’ll do anything to make Kyung Sook mayor–and make her former employer suffer. See her revenge in action when Queenmaker hits screens on April 14!

On April 15, tune in to Doctor Cha, a medical K-Drama about Cha Jung Sook (Uhm Jung Hwa), who is making her career comeback after spending the past twenty years as a housewife. The series also stars Kim Byung Chul as Jung Sook’s perfectionist, chief surgeon husband, Myung Se Bin as his first love, and Min Woo Hyuk as a surgeon…who might have feelings for Jung Hwa. Becoming a doctor just got way more complicated!

If you fell in love with The Glory‘s steadfast “executioner,” here’s your chance to see him in a totally different type of role. Lee Do Hyun co-stars in The Good Bad Mother as Choi Kang Ho, a prosecutor suffering from amnesia.

The thing is, Kang Ho didn’t just lose his memories; he lost his entire adulthood! After reverting back to a child-like state and shedding his cold-hearted personality in the process, Kang Ho moves back home to his mother Young Soon’s (Ra Mi Ran) pig farm.

Young Soon wasn’t the World’s Best Mom the first time around, but will she rewrite the past by raising Kang Ho a second time? See how it all plays out on April 26!
