SM Entertainment recently announced that Sungchan and Shotaro were “closing their chapter with NCT” in favor of joining the company’s upcoming boy group.
The news hit fans hard, especially after Shotaro uploaded a handwritten letter thanking fans for supporting him until his departure from the group—and into the future. There was another member who wanted to share his thoughts.
Since Yuta and Shotaro have had many promotions together, including a show, he addressed the news as well.
Yuta was hesitant to share everything on his mind but reassured fans that Shotaro could handle whatever comes his way. He commented under Shotaro’s letter, “I have so much I want to say… But, it’ll be fine if it’s you ”
Fans were even more heartbroken about the news when seeing Yuta’s response, recalling the unique bond between the two Japanese members and the time they spent together over three years.

Despite the members most likely knowing the news beforehand, they’re still trying to process it like fans.
