Thai Australian actor Perth Nakhun (also known as Stewart Nakhuntanagarn Screaigh) has been in more than a few BL dramas (Boys’ Love dramas), including My Engineer, Cutie Pie, and KinnPorsche.
So when he’s not starring in beloved series, he doesn’t mind doing a Q&A about the Thai acting industry to answer fans’ burning questions.
(@perth_ss)One of those questions was how Thai BL actors feel about fan fiction based on their characters. Perth began by confirming that they know it exists, mainly because “literally anything you could think of, there’s most likely a fan fiction of it.”
Despite being aware of the fan fiction about his on-screen roles, Perth hasn’t read any of them and doesn’t “plan on reading any.” However, that doesn’t mean he thinks negatively about it.
Perth revealed that he’s close friends with some fan fiction writers and appreciates the community the genre creates.
I’m friends with a few people who write fanfics, and I don’t think they want their fanfics read by the people who appear in the fanfic—whether it be the character or the person. I think it’s just a fun thing that fans do, and that they can share with each other.

While fan fiction may not be Perth’s cup of tea, he can respect fans’ enjoyment of it.
