In early June, the first teaser poster for HYBE LABELS girl group audition program, R U Next, was shared.
Following the mysterious image, fans pondered who would appear in the program. Many of their guesses were confirmed when the theme song “R.U.N,” sung by Suzy, was revealed and then once the profiles of all 22 contestants were shared.
While the show has yet to air, fans have discovered some familiar faces in the group, like Ruka, who missed out on debuting in LE SSERAFIM…
…and Chanelle, who several recognized from her Twitter “stan” days.
While all the trainees are pretty, fans were surprised to discover that one participant worked as a model before being announced for the show.
Born in 2001, Son Jiwoo is one of the oldest contestants on the show, and her profile states that her charming point is her cherry-like lips.
Her visuals can be seen in these photos and the many from her social media accounts.
Curious fans also found a video Jiwoo appeared in over three years ago, where she modeled clothing!
In a video shared by ZAMSTER, Jiwoo and another college student were fitted in clothes from three shop owners and modeled each outfit, similar to a shopping network-style program, before picking out their favorite looks.
Almost ironically, one of the shop owners mentions to Jiwoo that she is “as bright as an entertainer,” seeming to foreshadow her future career path!
At the beginning of the video, Jiwoo shared she was attending Dongduk Women’s University, majoring in Broadcast Entertainment, meaning she has both beauty and brains!
