From mystery and thriller to comedy and romance, actress Park Bo Young has starred in a variety of movies across her career. However, there’s one genre she’s been actively shying away from.
During an episode of My Alcohol Diary (also known as No Prepare), rapper Lee Young Ji asked Park Bo Young for the acting role she’d love to try. She offered an action movie as an example.
Park Bo Young quickly denied the suggestion, prompting Lee Young Ji to ask why. She admitted, “I don’t think I’ll do great in an action movie.” From the perspective of an actress, there was an understandable reason.
She pointed out that taller actresses and actors look better when filming fight scenes and using large weapons. Park Bo Young explained, “In the action movie, someone swings the sword. It looks very cool if that person’s tall.”
Since Park Bo Young is only a couple of inches taller than five feet, her moves wouldn’t look as powerful. She demonstrated how her version of a sword swing would look like a cute cartoon character.
Park Bo Young may not fit the look of an action star, but that hasn’t stopped her from doing well in every other genre.
