GOT7’s BamBam Directly Addresses Hate Over His Ideal Type, Girls’ Generation’s Taeyeon

For anyone who is a fan of GOT7‘s BamBam, it is no secret that the star is a massive fan of Girls’ Generation‘s Taeyeon.

BamBam has often called her his “ideal type” and named her an idol that inspired him, even attending a fan sign before debut to meet her.

After debut, BamBam has had several opportunities to meet her professionally, including at the 2022 BEST OF BEST CONCERT, where he got a much-desired selfie with the star.

The GOT7 member is also known to talk about her when chatting with other stars, like in his recent episodes of Bam House. In his episode with SHINee‘s Key, he asked for tips on how to get her to appear as a guest.

Sunmi also brought her up in the newest episode, asking BamBam who his ideal type was before remembering that he previously said Taeyeon.

In addition to explaining how Taeyeon became his ideal type, he mentions that her appearance on the show would be his greatest gift.

After this episode, some netizens found issues with BamBam talking about Taeyeon so often. One also referenced an incident earlier this year when the star came under fire for comments about NewJeans‘s Hyerin, which BamBam has since clarified.

BamBam directly replied to the tweet, explaining that he admired Taeyeon and asked fans not to hate him.

When some of BamBam’s fans had less than kind responses to the hate, the star requested that fans “watch their words.” He followed up by saying that while he knew he couldn’t please everyone, he did not want to upset people.
