IVE’s Wonyoung Corrects Her Own Mistranslated “2023 Asia Artist Awards” Script, Earning Praise From Netizens

IVE‘s Wonyoung is considered one of K-Pop’s top stars for a reason, as she’s repeatedly received praise for her dedication to her schedules with her fellow group members and her solo activities.

In December 2023 alone, Wonyoung had multiple international schedules in the span of a few days, including spending over seven hours hosting the 2023 Asia Artist Awards in the Philippines alongside ZEROBASEONE‘s Hanbin and soloist Kang Daniel.

Wonyoung recently provided DIVEs (IVE’s fandom) with a behind-the-scenes look at her preparations for the 2023 Asia Artist Awards, and further impressed netizens with her professionalism and work ethic.

Wonyoung spent her time before the ceremony carefully reviewing her script, asking staff members what was expected of her during the show, and memorizing the lines she would soon read in three languages.

While reviewing her Japanese lines, Wonyoung noticed some errors in the translation.

To ensure their accuracy, the IVE member revealed that she spent her time revising the mistranslations on her own.

Netizens were amazed at Wonyoung’s diligence and shared their appreciation for her hard work and their pride for the talented star.
