Viral Deleted Scene From K-Drama “Extraordinary Attorney Woo” Explains More About The Leads’ Relationship

Unfortunately, an arguably really great scene in ENA‘s hit K-Drama Extraordinary Attorney Woo was deleted, much to fans’ dismay.

He has already given her two gifts. In Episode 4, he surprised her with a huge mural of a whale, knowing how much she loves the sea creature.
Before that, in Episode 3, he purchased a light projector.
She was not there when he stopped by her office to give it to her. Instead, she was out printing her resignation letter after the difficult case in which she defended a man on the Autism Spectrum who was accused of murdering his highly educated brother when, in reality, he attempted to save him from committing suicide.

At the start of the next episode, Jun Ho stopped by her office again, not understanding that she had resigned. So, he left the wrapped gift on her desk.
When Young Woo returned later in Episode 4 to help her friend defend her father, who was taken advantage of by his brothers, Jun Ho excitedly greeted her and expressed that he missed eating lunch with her. He also asked if she had opened the gift he had left.
Young Woo claimed that she had thrown it away since she didn’t know who it was from. It’s true that he had not left a note identifying himself as the gifter.
Despite the disappointment, Jun Ho’s response was really sweet, and he didn’t get mad.

Well, it turns out that she didn’t throw it away…
In Episode 5, Young Woo compromised her convictions in a copyright battle between two ATM companies, Ihwa and Geungang. So, in the end, she vowed never to do it again and threw away the painting that the original client, Ihwa, had given her and instead pus up the letter from Geungang.
In a deleted scene from this moment, Young Woo also found the box from Jun Ho. And she didn’t throw it away…
Young Woo opened the box to discover a light projector. She turned it on, and it transformed her office to look underwater.

While the editor clearly had good reason for not airing this scene as it would downplay the importance of the letter, the truth is that this scene also is quite important to the developing relationship between Jun Ho and Young Woo.
As a netizen pointed out, this moment would help explain why Young Woo becomes even more curious about him other than just her friends’ comments. An unexpected and thoughtful gift like this would surely be touching!
