What does your smile say about you? More than you might think!
According to cosmetic dentist Dr. Sahil Patel, the expert and founder of Marylebone Smile Clinic in London, England, a person’s teeth can imply that they have certain personality traits.
Dr. Patel’s personality analysis takes several factors into account. One is the shape of our teeth. He categorizes teeth into four categories: squoval (square oval)…

…and triangular.
V’s teeth could be categorized as squoval since they fall somewhere in between the straight-edged square and rounded oval shapes. Interestingly, unlike some other tooth shapes, Dr. Patel says that squoval teeth don’t give away any strong personality traits. That lack of personality could signify sophistication and calmness in some people.

If this analysis had been applied to V when he debuted in 2013, it might have seemed inaccurate. Back then, ARMYs knew V as a boisterous, bold rookie with an endless supply of energy.
Ten years later, however, “sophistication, calmness, and affability” very much suit V, who has mellowed and become more introspective over time.
In addition to shape, Dr. Patel looks at unique features such as pointy canines, white spots, uneven edges, grooves, and incisal steps. V’s canines, though not overly pronounced, are on the pointier side.
According to Dr. Patel, pointy canines signify “masculinity, strength, and aggression,” which is why some of his clients choose to soften their canines.
Is V masculine? Yes. Strong? For sure! But aggressive…?
Not quite!
