BTS‘s Jungkook is preparing to release his debut solo album, GOLDEN, set to be released on November 3. He previously shared a preview of the album with snippets of each song.
Now, a teaser for his new song, “Standing Next to You,” and its upcoming MV, has been released. It shows a totally different vibe than his previous releases, “3D (feat. Jack Harlow)” and “Seven (feat. Latto).”
Yet, ARMYs noticed similarities between it and a BTS MV.
ARMYs spotted parallels between the “Standing Next to You” MV preview clips and the music video for fan-favorite BTS song “Black Swan.” Not only is Jungkook featured with black angel wings, similar to a black swan…
…but portions of the “Standing Next to You” MV appear to be shot in a theatre, much like “Black Swan” was filmed at the Los Angeles Theatre. Even the modern dancing feels like a parallel.
Many ARMYs are rejoicing in the comeback of one of their favorite eras.
